Married over forty years. Still figuring it out together.
Tom and Carolyn Albright are college sweethearts who have been married for over forty years. Both seminary-trained, both ordained ministers, both retired teachers. Between them, more than thirty years of pastoral work.
They marry couples across the Poconos and the Lehigh Valley, wherever the ceremony happens to be. A farmyard, a courthouse, a friend's backyard, or the small chapel they built on their own land in Carbon County.
From the church building to the mountainside.
For most of their ministry, Tom and Carolyn led services inside a building. Sunday after Sunday, the same four walls. Then this chapter of their life took them somewhere else.
They've performed ceremonies on mountainsides, in farmyards, at museums, and on rocky outcrops along the Appalachian Trail. Places that had nothing to do with a venue checklist and everything to do with what the couple actually cared about.
Forty plus years of marriage will teach you something about what makes it last. They'll tell you it comes down to small choices: how you talk to each other, how you build trust, how you stay curious about the person you're with. They don't say it like a lesson. They just know it's true.
When they're not officiating, they're hiking the Poconos, spending time at the beach, or somewhere with their grandchildren.
Not a template. Your ceremony.
They've been leading ceremonies long enough to know what couples actually need. Not a script, not a performance, but a moment that belongs to them.
Seminary-trained, ordained ministers
Tom and Carolyn are both formally trained and ordained. They make sure your day is planned and perfect.
Premarital support, if you want it
Before the ceremony, they'll sit with you. Not to evaluate you, but to help you think through what you're stepping into.
Comfortable with many traditions
Religious, secular, blended, still figuring it out. They adapt to the couple, not the other way around.
Your license, handled
Every ceremony is legally complete. They sign and file the marriage license so you don't have to think about the paperwork.
We’ll come to you. Or you can come to us.
Most couples have a place in mind already, and Tom and Carolyn will travel up to 30 miles to marry you there. For couples who’d rather not go looking, there’s the small open-air chapel they built on their own land in Carbon County. Trees, a flower-wound arch, candlelight, and seating for twenty-five.
Every couple we work with teaches us something. Let's talk about yours.
Reach out when you're ready. We'll set up a short call and go from there.
